It all started with a scare at home
My mother had me when she was 44, my father when he was 57. I grew up knowing that my time with them was different: shorter, more valuable. Today, she's all I have left. It all started with a fall in the street. A trivial thing, we downplayed it. "I tripped, I'm fine," she said. But that day, something changed. Fear appeared. In her life and in mine.
The falls came one after another. At home, in the bathroom, against furniture. I learned to sleep with one ear open. Every crash stopped my heart. I’d come running, and there she would be: on the floor, sometimes bleeding. I’d lift her up, stop the bleeding, go to the hospital. And start all over again the next day. I stopped going out. And even then, when I wasn’t there, she would get more anxious and fall more often. I couldn’t live. She couldn’t live.
One day, I had to go out, and my reasonable concern led me to leave her my bike helmet. "Here, Mom, put it on. I'll be gone for a bit. If you fall, at least you won't crack your head open." That very afternoon, she put it to the test: she fell against some wooden chairs. Without the helmet, it would have been serious. With the helmet, it was just a scare. That night, I slept again. For the first time in a long time. That's what inspired me to create SafeSeniors. A bike helmet wasn't designed for her. It was uncomfortable; it drew attention on the street. But it worked. And I understood that something better had to exist: a light, discreet, comfortable protector. Something she would accept wearing. Something that would bring peace of mind back to families like mine. I don't sell helmets. I sell what I needed that night: to be able to sleep again, knowing that, if the inevitable happens, the damage will be less severe.

What families who already have it say
Carmen R. — user's daughter
"My mother is 84 years old and had fallen twice this year. Since she started wearing the helmet, everyone at home is much calmer. She says she barely notices it."
Javier M. — user's son
"I bought it for my mother so she would be safer walking. At first she was hesitant, but now she doesn't leave without it. We're very happy."
Ana B. — granddaughter of user
"I gave it to my grandmother for her birthday. It arrived in just over a week. It was worth it, the whole family is delighted. It's worth every penny for the peace of mind it brings."
